Frequently asked questions

Where does the fat go?

Laser Lipo  treatments result in the liquefaction of fats, the liquefied fat is then drained through the lymph nodes. The effectiveness of fat drainage during and after treatment is dependent on proper function of the lymphatic system, which is responsible for removing wastes from the body.

What happens after each treatment?

You can resume normal activities immediately as Laser Lipo is completely non-invasive with no down-time whatsoever. With 24 hours of the treatment it is encouraged that you do some sort of cardio type activity to move things along. i.e.: use a whole body vibration machine, jumping on a mini trampoline, Stairmaster, treadmill or a brisk walk.

What results can I expect from the Laser Lipo treatment?

Male and female clients have found that those hard to reduce trouble spots, such as love handles, tummy bulge, and saddlebags can be treated quite significantly within just a few treatments.

How many treatments are needed?

We offer sessions of 4,6 or 8, we recommend you have at least 2 sessions a week. Maintenance treatments can be performed monthly after the full treatments have been completed or as determined by the client’s needs.

Who is the ideal candidate for Laser Lipo?

There is not really an “ideal” candidate. Lipo Laser has been shown to be effective on many different body types. However not people suffering with obesity. The best immediate results are often shown on individuals who exercise (or have exercised) regularly, or just have localized fat deposits that they cannot get rid of with diet or exercise alone.

Can I be treated with Laser Lipo?

There are a few medical conditions that would stop us from performing the treatment ( Contra-indications ). We will go through a full health and medical questionnaire with you before your first treatment to ensure you are suitable.

We are unable to treat you if you have any of the following Contra-indications.

  • Liver disease
  • Kidney disease
  • Epilepsy
  • Pacemaker
  • Heart Problems
  • Hypertension (uncontrolled)
  • Hyperthyroidism
  • Radiation
  • Any form of cancer
  • Immune suppressed disorders
  • If you are pregnant
  • Diabetes (Type 1 – Insulin dependent)
  • Infectious/contagious diseases
  • Prone to keloid formation

Any Belly Button Rings or reflective items must be removed before the treatment.

How is Laser Lipo different from other contour treatments?

There are other devices on the market that use ultrasound or radio frequency treatments, or the invasive type liposuction treatments. Laser Lipo is completely non-invasive, making the treatment extremely relaxing, quick and effective. Laser Lipo also uses two probes that assist with lymphatic drainage to assist the body in flushing the fat and waste. Low level laser is often used for cell regeneration and pain relief so there are other benefits to this type of treatment that other devices do not deliver.

Is this treatment safe?

Laser Lipo is very safe. ln fact, the initial purpose of low level laser technology was for pain relief and cell regeneration for healing. A clinical trial demonstrated that modifying the frequencies and output was effective for fat reduction and after continued studies it was discovered that low level laser therapy was a safe and effective indication for body contouring, and spot fat reduction.

Can I work after the treatment?

Yes. After your treatment, there is no requirement for bed rest or reduced activity and you can resume your normal schedule immediately. The minimal disruption in their daily agenda is the reason most patients find the Laser Lipo treatment so attractive.
